GammonGuide

Privacy Policy

Effective October 11, 2026

The short version: GammonGuide doesn't collect anything. It has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Your games stay on your device. If you buy GammonGuide Coach, Apple handles the payment and we never see it.

What GammonGuide does

GammonGuide is a backgammon trainer. An engine plays both sides of the game, and you decide what you would have played. The engine, the explanations and the spoken replays all run on your device.

What stays on your device

Your iPhone or iPad and your Apple Watch each keep their own games. They don't sync with each other, and nothing goes to iCloud. Like other app data, this is included in your device's normal backup.

What leaves your device

Nothing that GammonGuide collects. The game itself makes no network connections.

Buying GammonGuide Coach

GammonGuide Coach is an optional one-time in-app purchase. When you buy it or tap Restore Purchases, your device contacts Apple's App Store, and Apple processes the payment under Apple's privacy policy. We never receive your name, Apple Account, card or other payment details. The App Store tells the app only whether Coach is unlocked, and that record stays on your device.

Refunds and purchase history are handled by Apple through your Apple Account.

Permissions

GammonGuide doesn't ask for any permissions.

What we never do

Deleting your data

"Start over" on the Progress screen erases your games and progress. Deleting the app erases everything it stored on that device.

Children

GammonGuide is a general-audience game and collects no data from anyone, including children.
